Ali, the owner couldn’t have been more helpful in suggesting we booked Seascape, a large room on the second floor. It was perfect – seating and eating area and a huge bed from which we could watch the sun rise over the sea in the morning.
The dual aspect room has a huge window facing the sea and another facing the railway station and we could sit and watch the work going on on the new seawall and watch the many trains that pass.
Very good breakfasts each morning served by very friendly staff and the place was spotlessly clean.
The Blenheim is a very good example of what a 21st century B&B should be like – we will be back!

The room was superbly appointed and absolutely immaculate with a large very comfortable bed and it was so good to have a fridge, microwave and toaster in the room as well as the usual kettle, tea and coffee. The location couldn’t have been better, about two minutes walk from the station and the town. My room had a balcony with a sea view which was great as it was a pleasant place to sit with a coffee to enjoy the view. Breakfast was excellent with thought and consideration given to meeting dietary requirements. Ali and her staff are very welcoming and so helpful. One of those places I really look forward to returning to. Thank you.
Having studied Tripadvisor reviews for somewhere to stay in Dawlish for one night, the Blenheim did not disappoint. I stayed in the room named ‘The Nest’ and was extremely comfortable with all that you need. The en-suite was extremely small but functional and the bed was lovely and comfortable so cannot complain at all. My only niggle is road noise as I am a very light sleeper but this did not particularly bother me. The Nest is located on the 2nd floor in case you need to know.
Breakfast was fantastic and I opted for coffee alongside and was pleasantly surprised when I got served a small cafetiere with freshly brewed coffee (instead of instant rubbish).
The owner who cooked it and whom I chatted to briefly was very welcoming and have no hesitation in staying here again whilst in the area.
I arrived in the evening, hungry and tired and found a nearby pub called ‘The Brunswick and had the Steak and Ale pie. I would highly recommend anyone to have it, top nosh!
The Blenheim is in an amazing location with great views out to sea and overlooking Dawlish train station. The staff are very friendly. Our room was very clean. Breakfast was delicious too! This is our second time of staying here and we are excited for when we can come and visit again.
I travelled all the way from Canada to meet my dad for one night only and picked this hotel because of it’s proximity to the town center and seawall.
The stay far exceeded by expectations – the wifi was fast, plenty of coffee in the room and best of all they let my Dad check in early after his long drive to get there.
Super comfortable rooms, quiet at night and not much of a view from my room, but my Dad reported Raphelite sunrise views from his.
Breakfast was quite frankly delicious and again generous with extra toast and coffee.
I really appreciated the warmth of the place and enjoyed chatting about the history of the property with the owner.
I’ll be back 100 percent, might be a while! This was hands down one of the best hotels and most enjoyable stays ever in a hotel anywhere.
